PIA has placed the order for the 777s on 14 Nov 2002.
Shortly before their 1st 777-delivery the managers of PIA decided to alter their "new color scheme" a bit. The result was the Pakistani flag on the
tail and the "PIA" signature on the front part of the planes. This design is already old again, because PIA now put different schemes on the tails,
representing the different regions of Pakistan.
The two 777-200LR which are operated by PIA are the first-built of its kind. They were use by Boeing for the certification of the then-youngest member
of the 777 family.
