TAM has placed its original order for 4 777s on 26th February 2007. TAM is the 2nd airline in Brasil to operate the T7.
TAM is taking over the major part of Brasil's international airtraffic, due to the collapse of VARIG.
On my 25th birthday, 29th August 2007, Boeing has identified TAM as the customer airline for the 1.000th ordered Boeing 777. On the 18th August 2008 TAM has received its first 777-300ER in Sao Paulo.
